Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011); White House deputy director(2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015; and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a contributor to CNN's political coverage of 2017 to 2020. Psaki began her career with the 2001 re-election campaigns in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack who were both Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed as the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and also as the regional press secretary for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 for political communication serving as press secretary for President Obama's 2012 election campaign. 20 Psaki quit as spokesperson for the United States Department of State, on February 11 2013. There was speculation that she would be replacing Jay Carney White House Press secretary once he left for the White House[21] were fueled by her hiring at the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement of Carney on May 30th, 2014. She returned to White House in 2015 to be the director of communications. She was with the Obama administration until the end of its term.
